Please visit NTEU's current campaign - 'Invest in Australia's Future'
The 'Our Universities Matter' campaign was launched by the National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) in 2008.
Its aim was to reinvigorate Australia’s universities with:
- Achieving higher levels of government funding and better funding mechanisms.
- Protecting university independence and freedom of inquiry.
- Controls on excessive workloads.
- Better job security.
- Competitive pay rise for university staff.
- Affordable education and improved student services.
